What’s free, and what’s in TanCue Pro?

Live UV, the hour-by-hour forecast, your burn-risk, and the “cover up now” alert are free, forever — sun-safety information is never behind a paywall. TanCue Pro adds the on-device AI coach, guided session routines, the Live Activity timer and Home-Screen UV widget, goal modes, the on-device skin-tone read, and unlimited history, streaks, and reminders.

How accurate is the UV index?

TanCue uses Apple WeatherKit for live UV and the hourly forecast based on your location. Conditions change quickly, so treat the readings and recommendations as guidance and always protect your skin.

Is my selfie / skin data private?

Yes. The skin-tone read is processed on your device using Apple’s Vision framework — your photo is not uploaded. Your skin profile and sessions stay on your phone. See our Privacy Policy.

How do I manage, restore, or cancel my subscription?

• Restore purchases: open the paywall and tap Restore.
• Manage or cancel: iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → TanCue. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• If you started a free trial, you can turn on the in-app reminder so you’re notified before it ends.

Notifications and reminders aren’t arriving

Make sure notifications are enabled in iOS Settings → TanCue → Notifications, and that Focus / Do Not Disturb isn’t suppressing them.

Location or weather isn’t working

Enable location in iOS Settings → TanCue → Location, and check your internet connection so the app can reach the weather service.

How do I delete my data?

Most data lives on your device — deleting the app removes it. To request deletion of pseudonymous analytics or purchase records tied to your installation, email support@tancue.app.

Is TanCue medical advice?

No. TanCue is built around honest, lower-risk sun guidance and self-tracking. It is not a medical app and does not provide medical advice; skin insights are estimates, not diagnoses.
